Projects and Art Photography

Redeye's highly regarded day-long workshops, covering essential information for anyone who is about to start trading or has recently started as a professional photographer, now come in two flavours, with the first session on 13th May 2009. There is some crossover but you can attend one or both sessions.

This event is aimed specifically at those who want to make a living from exhibiting or publishing self-generated projects, including documentary or art photography; or obtain public art commissions. The day will give an overview of the current market, and then look at marketing yourself, including how to present your work; sources of funding and what the funders will expect; what makes a successful Arts Council funding application, how to print and exhibit, and build up productive relationships with galleries. Presented by Redeye's director Paul Herrmann with Mike Noon from Arts Council England and other guest speakers.
